Bondi Gold-collectie

The Bondi Gold is the magnet that started the brand, and the one Leigh still reaches for first. It is named after him because it is the magnet he has pulled almost all of his safes and bicycles out of the Amsterdam canals with, and with a few friends on the rope, a motorcycle.

The magnet

The Bondi Gold delivers 1460 kg / 3220 lbs of combined pull and 340 kg / 750 lbs of direct pull, in a body measuring 82 x 52 mm and weighing 2 kg. It is magnetic on all sides, so it grabs whatever it touches on the way through the mud rather than only what happens to meet the flat face.

This is the point in the range where the magnet stops being a toy and starts being a recovery tool. It is heavy enough to sink through silt and strong enough that what you snag is generally coming up, provided your rope and your back agree.

The kits

The Bondi Gold Kit pairs the magnet with a 10 mm 20 m heavy duty rope, a three-pointed grappling hook, the extra tough XL bucket, waterproof gloves and the golden magnet cover. The 10 mm rope is not an upsell at this weight, it is the correct rope for the pull.

The Golden Catch Kit is the same setup built around the limited edition golden 10 mm rope, which is sold in that kit and nowhere else.

The Bondi Pink Kit carries identical 1460 kg pull with a pink rope and pink cover instead.
