Why I Started

It all began when I was diving and magnet fishing around Bondi Beach, pulling old coins, tools, and unexpected treasures from the water. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a passion for uncovering lost history and cleaning up waterways around the world.

Over time, I started getting hundreds of messages from followers telling me they had bought cheap magnets that didn’t hold up. Magnets that broke, rusted, or simply weren’t strong enough. To be fair, I was experiencing the same thing myself.

That was when I realised there was a real need for better gear. Tools that could handle the weight, the weather, and the excitement of real magnet fishing.

So I began developing my own. Tested in the canals of Amsterdam, refined through years of trial and error, and built to perform in the real world, not just on paper.

Bondi Magnets was born from that journey. A brand created by magnet fishers, for magnet fishers.

It is about more than just pulling metal from the water. It is about the thrill of discovery, the stories behind what we find, and the shared passion of a global community.
