Magnet fishing technique

A simple but very effective way to magnet fish is to make trenches. Throw the magnet several times in a row in the same spot in the water and slowly retrieve the fishing magnet.

Treasures that have been on the bottom for a long time often dig deeper into the muck. When you fish the same spot multiple times, make a trench in the muck on the bottom. That way you'll find even the older treasures and be sure you don't miss anything. Make several of these trenches underwater until you have searched the entire bottom.
