This is the heavy end of the range. Every magnet here starts at 1460 kg of combined pull and is intended for people who already know how to read water, rig a rope and get a heavy find up a canal wall without hurting themselves.

What is in here

The Bondi Gold magnet is the centre of this collection: 1460 kg / 3220 lbs combined pull, 340 kg / 750 lbs direct, 82 x 52 mm and 2 kg. It is the magnet Bondi Treasure Hunter uses himself and the one behind most of his best canal recoveries, including safes, bicycles and, with help on the rope, a motorcycle.

The Bondi Pink magnet is the same magnet in a limited edition pink finish, with identical pull force.

Both are available as complete kits. The Bondi Gold Kit, Bondi Pink Kit and Golden Catch Kit each pair the magnet with a 10 mm 20 m heavy duty rope, a three-pointed grappling hook, the extra tough XL bucket, waterproof gloves and a magnet cover.

Rope rating is not optional at this weight

Our 8 mm rope is rated for the Nugget, the Jackpot and the grappling hook. From 1460 kg upward you want the 10 mm. It is double-braided polyester, non-elastic, water-repellent, reinforced at the loops with a protective sleeve, and it can be used with a winch when what you have found is heavier than you are. A magnet lost to a snapped rope is an expensive lesson.
