Leigh started out diving and magnet fishing around Bondi Beach. Today he fishes the canals of Amsterdam, clears scrap metal out of the water as he goes, and films it for millions of followers.

Magnets that didn’t hold up
Over time, Leigh got hundreds of messages from followers about cheap magnets they had bought.
- They broke
- They rusted
- They weren’t strong enough
- They only gripped on one or two sides, and let go
To be fair, I was experiencing the same thing myself.
Tested around the world
So Leigh started designing his own magnets. He tested them in the canals of Amsterdam and on fishing trips around the world, through years of trial and error. A magnet only goes on sale once he is happy with it.
It started with the Bondi Gold, named after Leigh and still his favourite. Most of his safes and bikes came out of the water on a Bondi Gold.
