What is inside every Bondi magnet fishing kit

The magnet
A 360 degree neodymium magnet in the strength you choose, magnetic across its whole body rather than on one face.

The rope
Rated for the magnet it ships with: 8 mm for the Nugget and Jackpot, 10 mm for the Bondi Gold and Holy Moly. Water-repellent, with a stainless carabiner at each end, and it still unties after a day in the water.

The grappling hook
For large or awkward finds that a magnet cannot hold on its own. Bikes and safes tend to lever themselves off a magnet right at the surface, which is exactly when a hook saves the recovery.

Waterproof gloves
Grippy and protective. Rusted metal and wet rope are both worse on bare hands than people expect.

The Bondi Extra Tough XL bucket
For carrying gear out and finds back, so nothing gets left on the bank.

Magnet cover, foam travel cover and Loctite
The cover protects the pulling face, the foam cover makes transport safe, and the Loctite secures the eyelet so it cannot work loose under load.

Which kit should you choose

Kits are built around the four magnet strengths. Pick on where you fish, not on the biggest number:

• The Nugget Kit, 760 kg. Best first kit. Light enough to throw all day, easy to free when it snags, and strong enough for genuine finds. Ideal for ponds, small rivers and learning the technique.
• The Jackpot Kit, 1080 kg. Our most popular kit and the usual choice for adults starting properly. Comfortable in canals and around docks.
• The Bondi Gold Kit, 1460 kg. The best all-rounder, built around the magnet Bondi fishes with himself. Ships with 10 mm rope for deep canals and heavier targets.
• The Holy Moly Kit, 1800 kg. Maximum power, for experienced fishers only. Not a first kit.
